Fashion Friday: Staycation Style

What do you wear for a staycation day when the temps are pleasant (at last!) and the day is open for local adventure? Starting from the ground up, comfy shoes, inspired by our trip to Paris in April (forgive me, but I LOVE saying that!!). Even with chilly (sometimes wet) weather, the footwear of choice for men, women, and children was (yep, you guessed it) some variation of streamlined white sneaker. There were loads of Chuck Taylors, New Balance, Nike, and European brands; some canvas, some leather, some with a tiny bit of black, but they outnumbered ballet flats, boots, and loafers by at least 10 to 1. Jeans with a bit of stretch (a color like olive is SO versatile), my trusty linen-cotton T, and my best thrifting find ever (a lightweight wool Calvin Klein boyfriend blazer...for $1.00!!) and it’s a casual-but-polished look that can handle whatever happens next. Given my status as an accessory fiend, I added a pendant by the incomparable Sydney Lynch of @lynchjewelry, as well as a stack of bracelets gifted by my hubby for various occasions. It was overcast when this pic was taken, so I’m in glasses mode instead of sunglasses (I’m not a good candidate for contacts, and honestly, I really enjoy eyewear as an opportunity for self-expression). What do you wear for a staycation day? Shoes: Cole Haan, jeans: Gap, T: Banana Republic, jacket: Calvin Klein (thrifted), crossbody bag: Michael Kors (Nebraska Crossings Outlet), necklace: Sydney Lynch, Bracelets: Lagos (via Borsheims), David Yurman (via Tradesy), watch: Michael Kors (TJ Maxx), glasses: LensCrafters. #FashionFriday
